Stafford has informed me that we have another thing to spend money on:
Cables to connect the terminals to the port. These cables come in three flavors
and assorted sizes.
Briefly, (a) current loop to local terminals. 250' or 1000'. $270 each.
(b) eia to local eia terminals or to a modem (but without modem control).
prices range from $55 to $550 depending on length.
(c) eia with modem control, 25', $120.

We need to find out what kind of interface will be available on the terminals
that are leased. [The most common connection to local terminals is current
loop, which is also most reliable.]
